Welcome to Horn of Africa Innovation & Resilience Facility Hub
The Horn of Africa Innovation & Resilience Facility Hub seeks to provide new and emerging technology and compatible agri-business with an environment that would support their start-up phase and increase their likelihood of success. As a resilience centre, it will be used to gather the best practices in resilience building facilitate knowledge exchange and teach the community new skills and information to better leadership in decision making in agrology, agriculture, livestock and governance.
Our Objectives

Mobilise, sensitise community to actionable capacity, comprehensive peace and community resilience through innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship

Foster and build community capacity for green ecology, regenerative agriculture, reforestation and restoration in the community in the Horn of Africa

Enhance transformative value chain productivity that promotes the growing of nutrient rich and drought tolerant crops and leafy vegetables

Encourage accountable community leadership and collaboration with partners and government in regenerative society: to restore and replenish.

Background Information.
Conflicts and violence among the pastoralist communities take different forms, including cattle rustling, clan and ethnic violence, and the displacement of people. The proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALWs), climate change, land and water scarcity, the collapse of inter-communal social contracts, and bad politics have exacerbated this already tenuous situation.
